Ahhhhh crap!
 

Ok so one of the account i use is this fella i know. There is about 1.2k sitting in his paypal and he logged on to withdraw it today and they are asking for personal details. I have been logging into the ebay but he has not given access to his paypal and it is he who withdraws the funds to the bank linked to it. He logged into the paypal from a totally differet computer and dif IP then the one logging into the ebay. I am guessing im gonna have all kinds of trouble with them allowing him to withdraw the funds on this one???

Why? All that occurred was paypal got accessed from a different computer.
Since he is the paypal account holder, he supplies the info they asked him to supply.
He /you could try phoning paypal and asking what happended? Have all the details at hand including password, DOB and chat. Tell the truth: you just signed on to paypal from another computer because....... (fill in a reason)

Just confirm what the actual notice was from paypal in case it's a bit tricker. But going on what you said it's not impossible to remedy :peace:

It was something about going over the paypal account limit. I am not sure if they will ask for specific details tho that he might not be able to provide since i am the one who does all the selling and he just sits back and does nothing.

As for the reason for loggin onto paypal from a dif IP/computer i wil just get him to say that its for security reasons because i think the desktop pc has rootkits/viruses??? do you think this is good enough?

What are some precautions to do when this happens as i really want to avoid them asking for supplier details because if this happens im pretty sure im stuffed and that money wont be accessable for 180 days?

Do they always ask for supplier details in this kind of thing because i have sold quite a few diff vero items but have got all positive feedback!

Each limitation differs: all this might be is paypal confirming identity.
No account is safe from limitations however.

So far they just want proof of identity and all that kind of crap.

They havent asked for any item receipts yet but im asumeing they will do that after he sends in his ID and other crap to proove his identity.

I just have a strong feeling they will because of the items listed/already sold. They will most likely do some further digging because of me logging into the ebay from this computer with its seperate cookies/IP and him only logging into the paypal from his computer/phone with total dif IP/cookies.

I hope they just pass his info and allow me to withdraw the funds! :( i expected something like this to happen but a instant suspension not this kind of verify identity stuff.

If i can manage to get the limitation removed and can withdraw the funds i am definatly moving on from his account! I tried to get him to give me full access to the paypal as well but he doesent want me to have it so there is nothing i can do. :(

just wait and see you never no (paypal/ebay are slow at everything hence ive been waiting 3 days for a phone call from them and still nothing)

Paypal and ebay have cut back staff and all this stuff is going to one department, from what I can gather from trying to contact them, so you still may not be screwed, as they are doing this to so many people.
