Opening AU account overseas?
 

Hi,

Im wondering if anyone can help.

Is it possible for me to open an Australian ebay account? Im in the UK. Im wondering will a stealth account work?

Anyone experience doing it? I dont know anyone in Australia though. I have a UK account and an Irish account.

But can you actually sell stuff using overseas IP with AUS ebay acc? and even if you verify with credit card, they will limit you when you start to sell or receive some funds.

I use VCC before and got limitation.

I actually HAD an OZ account. I lived there for a year a opened it and verified it etc.... but that was 3 years ago. But it got banned for VERO and indefinatly suspended. :( I also logged in from here all the time on it.

Pretty easy :) Costs about 100bucks to do everything but totally posible..

Im an aussie living in asia and had ebay accounts in aust, asia and the uk :)

I only lost my accounts from being lazy and using one jpeg bay account to link all my pictures doh!

It is of course possible to open one account like that. But eventually you will always got limitation when you try to sell. And also without AU bank account, you will need to figure out on how to withdraw your money.

You can use paypal and WONT get limited and able to withdraw your sales, but you wont have an aussie bank account and this could be a bit of a deal breaker for the aussies as not everyone has paypal...

Have you bought the ebay stealth book? this will solve most of your problems..

Ohhh I don't know I have had accounts going for years that I have opened here in Aus and other countries in the region, some get limited but then I expect it to considering what I am selling, as for getting money out thats about getting l*^d in in a Bangkok go-go bar...

I think the bank account is the only issue. Everything else is doable.

You could use a mixture of methods to get your cash like perhaps use your money in PP to buy stuff on Ebay, register your address to a mail forwarding company, and then get them to ship to yourself or your customers. You could set up a load of stealth Oz accounts to spread the risk, and send PP payments to a load of UK PP accounts.

As for setting up and administering the accounts, sign up to Oz Ebay using dialup, then administer using Auctiva,and also either Tor or a decent VPN.

Just brainstorming.

Umm the back account isn't really a big issue for me its just opening the account.

Im thinking, I could link my australian ebay to a UK paypal account?

Or maybe set up a Australian paypal account, and just transfer the money to my UK payapl every now and then? Think this would work??

I didnt buy the stealth account because I didn't think it would help with the opening overseas account. As shameful as it is I actually worked for eBay customer service 3 years ago so I do know how they link accounts etc (Still have my employee manual).

Its just the phone verification thats bothering me :)

I guess it is okay to link your AU ebay to your UK paypal account.

Country A ebay + country B paypal.
