New duplicate listing policy

Ebay is bringing in New duplicate listing policy in April. Does anyone know if there is a time period between the duplicate listing or does it mean no duplicate listing at all?

Surely sellers will be allowed duplicate listing 3-5 days apart.
l don't want to contact them and ask as don't want to raise any flags.

This is nothing new in the US. They started that policy last year. What it means is you can not have any duplicate listings that are for BUY IT NOW. You can have 100 auction style listings for the same product but you are only allowed 1 buy it now listing. If you want more than 1 buy it now (BIN) listing then each listing would have to be different in price.

That is 100% Correct,,,I would suspect that Ebay really wants to cut the Number of listings down on the Site as a Whole so it is easier for their Bots to patrol

I personally think it's great thing to happen.

Some categories get swamped with sooooo many items from the same sellers, that's impossible to look through them all.
I don't bother trying to list there, and hang on to merchandise till it's quieter.
It does lose some value, but at least I'm not having to relist all of the time.

i agree now the people who have single listings will get noticed. EG this will stop all the Chinese sellers from flooding ebay with Cheap listings etc

They'll just make more accounts to get around the restriction, just like all of us. To get your list noticed, you'll need to play the "best match" game. Who cares about the other listings if your item shows up in the top 5.
