Hi i just brought ebay stealth im a newbie, could someone help me with changing my ip address, i don't know what a WAN MAC number is and i have looked on my router.
Could someone please tell me where it is on a Telstra Thompson Gateway TG782T. And an example of what it looks like on this modem. I am very newbie on everything.

I am a newbie too and it took several hours of combing through posts to figure out how to change my IP....you will get it. Mine was a dynamic ip, but with a long lease, and when then lease expired it reassigned the same ip EVEry TIME! I even called my ISP as well as my PC guy....no one could figure out how to get it release the ip. I ended up downloading a program called SMAC....and changing my mac address with that....then rebooting. it worked! good luck to you

Thanks, it is very confusing for me, is there a very newbie newbie thread here where my questions won't sound stupid to others and embarrassing for me?
I don't have a mac computer if that is any help.

mac IP address does not mean MAC computer. pcs have mac ip as well
you either have a dynamic or a static ip address
dynamic => you will be able to change your ip
static => will always stay the same
if you have static then consider changing Internet Service Provider in order to get a dynamic ip address
OR
get mobile broadband
OR
use internet tethering through your phone/iphone as cellular internet will allow you to easily obtain a new IP address each time you connect/disconnect from the net
im sure through searching you will be able to find all the answers you need from here on
