| | | mattwilkinson | 04-09-2012 03:19 AM | Woolworths Prepaid (non reloadable) ? Do you require your name or some ID ? Can the card be linked to your name in any way?
Because I need a new paypal account. I have the eBay stealth booklet.
So heres what im thinking.
Ill get one of the Woolworths card, if i need a name I will use a random name. I will then either get a PO Box, or use a friends address. (How long do i need a PO Box for?) Just to register or do I need to keep it? Also, with phone verification. Do I need to make the call from a friends phone or does it accept mobile? |
| Thankful | 04-09-2012 08:10 AM | Welcome to the forum!
Not sure about woolworth cards there but i'm sure an aussie or two will be able to confirm this!
You shouldn't be using a friends address - P0 BOX may perhaps work for awhile but it may have been used by another stealther keep that in mind! - do you guys have other private mail box services there?
*bumps* |
| moneyhustler88 | 04-09-2012 10:46 AM | im currently in the same problem with the UK. I've purchased 3 PO Boxs from 3 seperate companies and found out they limited my paypal..wasted £100. It's no joke..am stuck with the address issue now.. |
| bluebirds | 04-09-2012 07:55 PM | Hi,
Woolworths non reloadable card will work nicely. For that card you don't need to add any names or anything. You just buy it from woolies and add some money in the shop and you are ready to go. |
| mattwilkinson | 04-10-2012 04:31 AM | thanks bluebird, and yeah. I don't really want to spend $100 if im not 100% sure i wont get limited.
Any ideas of what email address to register it under and what name?

| baloch | 04-10-2012 08:14 AM | when adding the PO box. write Unit or # or just Box. this works for me here in CA. |

You are talking about PO Box registration now or something else? I can't help you with PO Box, because I didn't use it. I just found some address nearby and hoped that nobody else is using the same one. Has been working so far. |
| mattwilkinson | 04-10-2012 09:34 PM | I mean like, Do i make an eBay account under my name? or someone elses? What kind of emaill address should i use? gmail, hotmail, or make an iprimus one? (my isp)
Also, did you just use someones address, and thats it? Do eBay ever post anything to you?
What about getting items posted to you? how did you do that?
Also, do I need to use a home phone to register on eBay? or can i use a mobile? |
| bluebirds | 04-11-2012 05:18 AM | Have you actually read the book?
It'll answer most of your questions. You just open the booklet when you start up with the new account and do exactly what the book says. I read most of the things several times during the sign up, to make sure I got everything right.
Ebay won't post anything to you. And items posted to you? You mean returns?
Also to sign up with ebay, you need landline not mobile.
Let me know if you have any further questions. I know It's hard to start all over, and there's lot of information to go through.
I thought I was smart, before reading the book, but know I know why I always failed before. :D
BTW. You've had eBay account before, right? |
| mattwilkinson | 04-11-2012 06:02 AM | Yeah, I sold R4 cards, but ive stopped cause theres better legal ways to make serious $$$ ;)
Like, when i purchase an item. won't it get sent to the address i register it with? aka my neighbours.
Could I create an account under my Grandparents Name and there P.O box?
I understand in the book they tell you to get a Bank Account, but it doesn't tell me if we can use our real name, because you need I.D to get a bank account, this wouldn't match the paypal names. |
| bluebirds | 04-11-2012 06:27 PM | Well, I wouldn't use my eBay selling account for buying. If you buy something with that account, of course they are going to send it the address that is on your paypal account. So if you want to buy from ebay as well, you can use your old account with your real details.
You are going to open your bank account with your real details, you can't do it any other way. However paypal, can't see the name you have on your bank account, they can see only account number. So on Paypal you'll sign yourself up with alias. |
| mattwilkinson | 04-12-2012 11:33 PM | Alright, what do I do about the phone number? Obviously, my home number is out of question. Also my mobile. What about my sisters or mums mobile? Telstra & Virgin? Will eBay/PayPal accept these when I register? Thanks |

I've questions about ww-non reloadable credit card:
1. you said above "add some money in the shop". what does it mean? If we can add some money in the shop, does it mean that it is reloadable?
2. since it's non reloadable, what's happened if the credits run-out (because it is used to pay all the ebay expenses)?
Thank you very much. |

No you can add money only once, while buying the card. 2. since it's non reloadable, what's happened if the credits run-out (because it is used to pay all the ebay expenses)?
If the credit runs out you then the card is empty and you can't use it anymore.
Thank you very much.[/QUOTE] |
| mattwilkinson | 04-23-2012 03:37 AM | could we then add another woolworths prepaid card when the other runs out? |
| bluebirds | 04-24-2012 03:31 AM | Probably, I don't know I haven't on any of my accounts, so can't really comment this. |
| mattwilkinson | 04-25-2012 02:29 AM | What do you have ?
Whats your setup? |
| BubbleTea | 04-25-2012 11:02 AM | Do you use your real address for your bank as well?
Or do you use a PO Box address that is what you have on Paypal?
I've heard of this landline phone verification.
What is that for?
Do you still need to do this if you have verified a credit card and bank?
How do you get around it?
Thanks. |

The minimum that you can load is $20, and that's how much I usually put. |
