Has anyone seen this before?
 

After successfully listing an item i got the following message:

After August 30th, you will no longer be able to list or relist in this category on eBay. In order to reduce the number of misclassified items and eBay policy violations, we will block any attempts to list items in this category


WTF?

1st question - which category? Could be an internal issue.

unless anyone else can confirm they have gotten a similar issue then it is most likely your account and your listing risk items in risk categories.

Has to be risky items in risky categories, probably weeding out people.

Yes I have seen it. The message you get from ebay will continue on to say something along the lines that the category you are using now has been frequently used to mislead and purposely disguise items under incorrect categories.

I think the issue they are having is being unable to limit people selling certain items. If they fall under other very broad categories then they can't really limit the sales, hence why they are introducing other restrictions so that you are forced to put them under the "correct" category.
