New Australia Ebay Account Require Prove of Identity card
 

Has anyone in australia tried registering new ebay account in australia lately? I registered last few days and i've called back, now they are requesting for me to scan my ID document back to them.

They said this is a new ebay procedure for new users, how do we used stealth account when when we don't have other people's ID or prove of address?

What about ageing the account first buy a few things etc?

Opened a few stealths new year's day had no problem with ebay requesting id.

Have you tried to sell already? As I opened few as well, before Christmas. And now when listing stuff, they sent me an email, that I have to give them a call.

Are you listing right away? Risky item?

hi bluebirds, so they didn't ask you for Identification? as stealth accounts we use ⊗⊗⊗⊗ names, its impossible to provide id

They did ask ID, but not when I registered but after I listed items.

Just exactly what items are you listing? I opened two new accounts this year, have purchased and listed items with not one request for identification. I have opened x 2 accounts late last year as well same thing, ebay did not request any identification from me. All my stealth accounts are less than 90 days old and eBay no request for identification YET. I have also listed high risk categories (i.e. Electronic goods) with no problem.

What items are you listing? Vero items?

Hi listed a bed for sale which is like 100 dollars, i know not to list high risk item, so i'm selling crap from my house.

i called ebay they said that this is new policy for new ebay sellers

I might set up a new account in the coming weeks see if that happens to me. Will update you.

Please state everything, including paypal status info, type of email account, phone number used
