Credit Cards for PP
 

Hi Everyone

I am looking at using a bank issued credit card (under my name) for eBay purchases. Just wondering if paypal can see the name on the credit card when a payment is sent for eBay purchases?

The card is a new card and has not been used for any other EB or PP account before.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

For a buying account, if the account will be in your real name then any CC in your real name will be fine.

There's a lot of talk of whether Paypal can see the name or not but if your doing a buying account then there's nothing to worry about.

Do not link it to a selling account.

If you plan on strictly buying then that is alright.

Still make sure you track your IP's because you do not want to link it to your other accounts.

They can't tell the name on the card. You could use any name and it will be accepted.

If it is a stand along buyers account, and you can be sure of maintaining stealth practices, you might use it.

I am ingrained with stealth & never use such cards. Prefer the vcc

I basically have 2 stealth accounts which are linked i.e. with the same name, address, phone number, and pay pal account etc. I use one for selling and the other one for buying. Both of these accounts share the same pay pal account.

I always pay PP and EB fees using money in PP account. I plan on using the buyers EB account for making purchases and using the new credit card for sending payment.

I can't see any issues with this but I was just wondering if PP can see the name on the card when i send payment? My name on the card is basically the same as the name on EB and PP with a slight variation eg. Daniel shortened to Dan on EB and PP.

Would this be an issue in any way?

Not the most sensible method regardless. ebay OZ zaps buying accounts :nono:

So you have one buying, one selling, and one paypl account all tied together. If something goes wrong with one of the accounts, the other one will go along with it.
Nothing so stealth about your methods.

For most cc`s, all you need is the address to match the pp account drphilly. PP cannot see the name unless you provide it to them. I have used 2 real cc`s (NEVER used before on pp) with pure buying accounts (I still operate them stealthfree) and they have worked well for few years.

You are wasting your (real) card.

Gotchya. However, I can easily get another one if required ;)

AuctionsDenied, I understand that if one goes down so does the other account, however, I am very careful with this and I use other stealth account purely for selling.

I have had both accounts for well over 2 years as it's much easier than having to log into separate accounts when buying or selling.
