eBay Store - Need credit card on file
 

Hey guys,

So I have had an ebay account up for about 9 months now. Got around 350 feedback on it and sell about $1000 - $2000 a month.

I want to open an eBay store but I need a credit card on file. I have a proper credit card linked to PayPal, But if I also put this on file with eBay will there be any risk of getting suspended?

PayPal have already had it for 9 months fine but does eBay run seperate detection systems from PayPal.


Will adding the card bring attention to my account?



If so, Can I use a prepaid visa and can you recommend one?

Is the account in your real name or stealth?

If its stealth I was in the same situation last week and after consulting board members I was advised to by a VCC from a member here,which i did and I have the store open and everything is fine.

ebay/paypal are the same company. They work in tandem.

Like Sausage posted before me, buy a VCC from our sellers.

Attach that to your store.

Away you go selling.

Well its strange.

The eBay account is under my dads name, and our address.
The exact same account that got suspended.

I actually have no idea why we haven't been suspended.


What do VCC's actually do? Are they ⊗⊗⊗⊗ visa cards with no money on them?

If I buy one what do I do with it?

They are virtual cards that have some funds loaded on them.

I can see sellers selling 3 month expiry ones for $6, How much would be loaded on them?


And if PayPal already have my real credit card, What risk do I have giving it to eBay as well?

If your PP account details match that of the eB account and you have a cc on the pp account, might as well have it on the eB account. There is no real risk - the card should not be used for any more than 1 combo of eb/pp anyway (or 1 combo of eb's to 1 pp - if you decide to have more than 1 eb for that pp...the accounts are already inherently linked - not that I am recommending more than 1 eb to 1 pp)

My advice is NOT about operating the accounts - it is about HOW a VCC works.

The OP doesnt grasp the fact that the accounts are linked and wants to keep working with the account that is NOT suspended yet....might as well let him understand at least a little of the mechanics.

OP: you eB and pp are linked so what you do with one can be expected to affect the other. Your unsuspended eB and pp are linked to your suspended accounts SO sooner or later, you run the risk of going down in flames.

You need to understand stealth and go new and unlinked.

But in the meantime, if you are set on working with risky accounts...well I gave you the info on the VCC.
