Do PayPal Actually Investigate Claims?
 
Hi - I have a buyer who has put in an "unauthorised transaction claim" on me (great just before Christmas!). I have online tracking as "delivered" and positive feedback! LOL!

Will PayPal look into this or will they just drain money from my PayPal balance and forget about me as a seller?

What's likely to happen?

You will need to go to resolution center and resolve claim. Usually for chargeback like this paypal will ask for tracking number. And an investigation team will determine if the money should be refunded or not. If you shipped to a verified paypal address than you are under seller protection program, in which case PayPal will side with you.

Paypal are morons. But human.

Situation was I double bagged the item, posted and gave 1 tracking number for both items. Customer was a greedy bugger and decided to double dip and play the 'goods not arrived' card via Paypal. 5 days later, I won the claim and had a lovely green tea for celebration.

The buyer however became bewildered. I then posted out to them a 'thank you' card with a discount card to another shop I own.

I got more satisfaction by giving them more because of there greedy nature.

They will investigate this.

You say it was sent tracked, was this with signature?

Won the claim by providing tracking number which is also article number on receipt.

No signature. Express 5kg satchel pre-paid.

Lodgement made the difference, the initial scan and delivery really nailed the door shut and case closed in my favour.
