Registered on ebay AU, want to sell on ebay US
Hi Everyone
I am registered on ebay AU but I am looking at selling on the ebay US site. I tried to do this and PP tried to hold my money for 21 days saying it was a risk since I had never sold on the US site before.
Does anyone from AU have any experience with selling on the US or UK site? |

They are both well over a year old and the ebay account is a powerseller account with 70+ positive feedback. |

Why don't you log on to the eb.com website and post up the auctions? Should be fine - hold or not, it's not such a problem |

This is what I did originally - but PP put a 21 day hold on the funds, they said it was a risk since I had never sold on the ebay US website before. |

What's the problem? 21 day hold is normal - sell, get good feedback, let the funds clear...continue onwards... |

The problem is I have over 90+ positive feedback, account is over a year old, a top rated ebay seller and the item I sold is worth over $900+. So obviously there is a risk if I send the item and PP does not release the funds.
My question is if anyone knows what the ebay/PP rules are for selling on ebay US if the registered account is on ebay AU? |

the 21 day hold doesn't make selling a $900 any more risky
continued sales success will release the hold. be happy |

| Um, for overseas sellers trying to list on a different country, it is important though.

From what I can remember you need to have ever so many sales which total to a certain amount..'fraid I can not remember exactly but I would have got the info from the eBay site. |

I'll add my 2cents from the past few days of experimenting.
No matter what category, price range, or fb on my acct (all sub-100 accounts), I have not been able to get rid 'your funds may be temporarily held' on the second page of listing an item.
Looks like the only option at the moment is to suck it up and get through the pp holds. |

The account had to have its first sale 90 days ago it had to have over 25 sales and had over $25 in Sales.
I think eBay Aus will have similar restrictions after November 1. This is an assumption on my part be interesting to read any one else two bobs worth. |

What are eBay's selling standards and PayPal's risk standards?
If you, as an eBay seller, have a standard or above standard performance rating or a top-rated seller status in the eBay "Seller Dashboard", and an established selling history with eBay, the funds you receive from selling on the relevant eBay websites should be available in your PayPal account immediately after the buyer has paid, subject to any claims or chargebacks that may be filed.
However funds from your eBay.com, eBay.ca or eBay.cafr sales may be unavailable for up to 21 days if:
you have a limited selling history with the relevant eBay website, meaning:
90 or fewer days have passed since your first sale, or
You've made 25 or fewer sales, or
You've made $250 USD or less in total sales; or
you have a Below Standard rating in the eBay "Seller Dashboard"; or
there are sudden changes to your eBay account, for instance a high incidence of eBay Buyer Protection claims.
In addition, if PayPal believes there is an increased risk associated with you, your PayPal account, or any transactions in your PayPal account, funds received into your PayPal account from sales through these eBay websites may not be available for more than 21 days. |

I tried this again on ebay uk. Once again they put a 21 day hold on funds. I guess while i'm an established seller its because I have no selling history on ebay uk. This would be the same for new sellers on ebay au. |
