Buying/Postal Address Dilemma
 

Hi All

I recently purchased an item from overseas and put down a PO Box as the shipping address. It was shipped through the ebay global shipping program via UPS. I received an email from ebay stating that they need a physical address to ship the item to otherwise the item will be returned to sender.

My question is if I contact UPS directly and have them post my item to my residential address is there anyway ebay can link my address to a previously suspended account?

Afraid I can not answer your question but a good alternative to an Aus Post PO Box is to get one through a firm called MBE (mbe.com.au) they offer PO Boxes in their retail locations. The mailing address you get is suite XXX at the street address of the retail store.

Late in replying but another alternative is Parcel Collect.

Instead of sending package to P.O box. You send it to your Local Aupost Address. It's free but you need to register for it on Aupost website.

The address would look something like.

Your Name
Aupost Customer ref number
123 random St,
Random, (Street address of your Local Post Office)

Nowhere will it say PO box or anything.

You will need ID to collect the parcel

I contacted UPS and they ended up delivering to my residential address with no issues :)

Hi guys. Quick question....I registered with Aus post for a Parcel Post account (instead of a P O Box) and I've used this address for my ebay and paypal account. As DotDot has stated. I now have a new address looking something like this.....
Your Name
Aupost Customer ref number
123 random St,
Random, (Street address of your Local Post Office)

Paypal has said it may need to verify my address, because it doesn't match with Aust post records. Do you think I will be okay?....and is my customer ref number and street address number being misunderstood as one big number. Hope all this makes sense. Thanks.

The street address should match Aust Post records with no problem.
