| | | George101 | 12-30-2014 07:25 AM | Paypal account requiring Medicare or passport Hey guys. Hit the old limit. Account is 3 months old. I have looked around the forum a bit but am having trouble finding any useful information.
Just wanted to know the best course of action? Would it be to ring them and try and get a different way to verify my info. This is a stealth account so medicare number is sort of out of the question.
Every thing i sell is legit, i got banned because i was stupid. Now i use Ebay for a business.
Thanks for the help guys, its a bit stressful. |
| George101 | 12-30-2014 07:37 AM | Re: Paypal account requiring Medicare or passport Ok, so just to let anyone know who has the same issue.
I simply put in my home address (not my address but a real place as listen when iset up the stealth account). Left the passport and medicare blank.
Now all i need is a bill (for address) and a birth certificate (from my name). |

Medicare and passport info is only a fast online checking solution. You dont need it, unless you want it verified straight away. I went with the scanned documents. But i actually rang them and they verified and re activated my account while i was on the phone, after i had sent in the info. |

| George101 | 01-16-2015 12:45 AM | Re: Paypal account requiring Medicare or passport It's in the stealth guide book. |

Ive been reviewing the stealth book and cant seem to find where they cover that.
How did you verify your account?
Thanks |
| RosieTosie | 01-28-2015 12:34 PM | Re: Paypal account requiring Medicare or passport Use the search box, just below the Australia ebay and PayPal which is in bold type, you can get plenty of answers from typing into that box |

Thanks | What is happening with your account or is this knowledge you are after for the future?
Just a hint, make no account(s) until you know exactly what to do.

| Hand Cream | 01-28-2015 09:35 PM | Re: Paypal account requiring Medicare or passport Hello,
I have been running a business online turning over 20k per month.
Competition has been continuously reporting me until I was indefinitely limited.
I intend to study and study and study the stealth book and these forums until I can be running 10 accounts at once.
All information I gather will be used in the future, I won't use it until I know everything.
Thank you |

| Hand Cream | 01-28-2015 10:01 PM | Re: Paypal account requiring Medicare or passport No they don't know my turn over.
They have been reporting my products because they are trying to take all the market share.
My competition sells the same products and they are trying take all the market by getting rid of me. |
| George101 | 01-30-2015 03:52 AM | Re: Paypal account requiring Medicare or passport I skimmed through the stealth book and i found all this info in there? Are you sure you actually read it?
If your making that amount of money, may i suggest using an E-commerce store and not Ebay? Too many variables and fee's using Ebay. If you sell that much of anything surely that would warrant your own web store?
Ebay is dangerous, especially if you rely on it for your lively hood. One buyer can destroy your whole business. That is just a stupid amount of risk. |

Been lurking here for a while, glad to finally join the community :)
Basically I am in the same situation as Hand Cream and I now need to create a new business account. I've read the stealth guide and know how to register the new stealth business account with the correct information.
However I am pushing 2/3k in sales on my web store every day and am scared that this sudden influx in sales will raise a red flag prompting paypal to investigate. Didn't have any issues with the influx of sales when I was initially selling on my established pp business account, which I previously used to sell goods on ebay. But now that I plan to create a fresh business account does anyone know if it'll be safe to sell this much right away?
Open to all suggestions. Thanks guys. |
| GreenBean | 02-10-2015 03:27 AM | Re: Paypal account requiring Medicare or passport My honest .2cents, ozbiz?
I would not restrict my website to just one payment processor.
You raised an interesting point. You speak of an established paypal being used on ebay.
Was it limited or was the ebay suspended? |

Was it limited or was the ebay suspended? | Thanks GreenBean. Good point, might try out eway or stripe. Anyone had any experience whether stripe holds funds?
My paypal wasn't limited due to sales on my webstore but because of a ebay suspension which simultaneously banned my paypal. My mistake. So I then used a friends paypal, upgraded to a premier account, instead. But that also got banned and funds are now held for the next 180 days.
Basically I am selling an unbranded electronic device and my competitors are reporting to paypal that I am selling the counterfeit of a similar branded device, even though I am clearly not... My product is similar to the branded product in function but completely different in design. Tried explaining this to the dimwits at paypal to no avail.
I am planning to block off my new webstore from competitors via IP identification so that hopefully they won't be able to snitch next time. However I would still like to make a new business account so that I can continue accepting payments via pp.
Any further help is much appreciated. |
| GreenBean | 02-10-2015 04:35 PM | Re: Paypal account requiring Medicare or passport Pity about that. You could have used the paypal.
Get the IP rights to your device might work. |

Stripe hold funds for about 5-7 days.
eWay process faster within 2 days though much more is involved with registering with them |
| ozbiz | 02-11-2015 10:47 AM | Re: Paypal account requiring Medicare or passport So does anyone have knowledge as to whether selling a high amount immediately after creating a new account will cause red flags?
If so, how slowly should I increase the sales?
