eBay update - Required Product Identifiers

Received the below email last week.
They said they were going to call but no one did.
Just wondering if anyone lese has received this email and if they been contacted?

Hi ****,

We recently announced new requirements to include product identifiers within new listings of branded items in New and Manufacturer refurbished condition within select categories.

This new requirement may impact the way you list certain items. The requirement started in a few categories from 30 June. Soon, they will be required on new listings in each of the following categories:

• Baby
• Books
• Business & Industrial (Test, Lab, and Office Equipment)
• Cameras & Photo
• Cell Phones & Accessories
• Clothing, Shoes & Accessories (Shoes only)
• Computers/Tablets & Networking
• Consumer Electronics
• DVDs & Movies
• eBay Motors
• Health & Beauty
• Home & Garden (Tools and Appliances only)
• Music
• Musical Instruments & Gear
• Pet Supplies
• Sporting Goods
• Toys & Hobbies

Video Games & Consoles Product identifiers include an items brand, Manufacturer Part Number (MPN) and Global Trade Item Numbers (GTINs). A GTIN could be a Universal Product Code (UPC) or International Standard Book Number (ISBN).
In most categories where product identifiers will be required, you’ll need to include all three product identifiers. If your product doesn’t have a brand, select ‘unbranded’ and if you don’t have a GTIN or MPN for any of your products, you can select ‘does not apply’.

It’s important to understand the benefits, both for you and your customers of including these details on your listings:

•Product identifiers help buyers quickly find the items they’re looking for
•Including product identifiers has the potential to increase your items’ visibility in eBay search results and navigation,
•Including product identifiers can also improve your placement in search engines like Google and Bing.

I will call you on Monday, Aug. 3, 2015 sometime in the Morning to discuss this with you and to assist you with your questions. For the meantime, I suggest that you visit our Seller Centre page for more information about Product Identifiers including our tips for updating your listings and FAQs. I encourage you to familiarize yourself with what’s required and remember the sooner you start including this information, the sooner you enjoy the benefits.
