Request Higher Selling Limit

So I have an account that is one year old.
Been selling for about 5 months.
Can only list 10/2500 per month.

When I click on request higher selling limit I get:

1. Make sure you have another eBay account with a higher selling limit
2. Enter your account user ID, phone, and zip code

etc...

Does that mean my account is linked to one of my other accounts??

I have 32 positive feedback and 1 negative feedback.

The negative feedback is from some idiot who wrote:

Super fast

Any thoughts?

No it doesnt mean that. That happens.

There are a few different types of messages that come up when you click that.

Are you getting close to the $2500 each month?

No because 2500 for 10 items is way too high for what i am selling

3 choices really:

Open more stealths.

Contact ebay and ask increase.

Work it so that you get close to your $2500 limit by over pricing some 'BIN's.

Hi, I will try over pricing some BINs as you say, how long do you find it takes for selling limits to go up once you hit your limit, or is it strictly every month? Thanks

Impossible to say, you just have to sell up to near your limits and fingers crossed.

I'm on hold waiting now to ask for an increase. I can't do anything with this 8/800 limit.

Well my reply was specific to the OP, it may not be the best thing for you to do.

What are the details of your limits, age of accounts etc.? (You may prefer to start a new thread to do this in the UK section:uk:.)

Account increases can come at anytime, but I find normally within 48 hours of setting off the 'triggers'. One of my 10/650 baby stealths I targeted to raise last night. Listed my 10 items on 99p auctions, 9 hours later get a nice little 30 item/£2k increase. My own experiences suggest it is a bad idea to try and do this at the very end of the month, or when all the auction end dates cross over into the following month. Seems to confuse the system somewhat.

Let's say my account is new, less than a week old. I get initial 100/3500 limit, then straight away list a product of £350 with ten quantity

Chances are you would get your account limited doing that for a doc request, although it does depend on what your listing for £350

Initial selling limits of 100 items are pretty good.

Limits of 10 item you can easily bump by maxing them out, 100 items its a bit harder to get a bump when the account is only a few days / weeks old

Yes that was a concern, it goes against stealth common sense for a new seller to list 10 high priced items on a new account

Is this a business or personal account?

If it was personal you would basically be flagging it al over the place, and if it is business it would be very, very high risk also.

Hypothetically though if you sell to your limits form day one on a personal account you should see your first raise around the 6-7 week mark all being well.

Re: Request Higher Selling Limit

@abhinav, if you end them, your limits should not be affected.

@OP, always good to have other accounts going as well.

If you do that, I will look for the thread telling us you got limited.

Might be better to carry on asking the questions to beat the system rather than put them into practice and have issues.

To expand on this.... your account needs to get trusted by paypal/ebay.

That must be considered when you start.

Ask more and I am happy to reply!
