Greetings, and thanks for all the advice this forum has given me <3
So I'm actually only 17 yet I've had a paypal account for around 4 years.
Its connected to my real bank account with my real name and all info is legit except for my DOB.
So recently I've been selling some stuff on ebay which totalled to 900$ AU.
I've recently been emailed by PayPal saying that I have to give them ID.
Currently, my only limitation is "closing my account" but I'm not worried about that.
My funds finish pending in a week.
How do I succeed in not showing any red flags and get all my money back?
Cheers, (Australia)
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
You first get the message about having to provide ID when your PayPal account reaches an $800 balance. At this point in time, providing ID is optional.
Once your balance reaches or exceeds $1,000, providing ID is mandatory and your funds will be frozen until you successfully pass ID verification.
If I were you, I would cease selling until your current hold expires and start withdrawing funds (not all at once).
