Sorry if this has been suggested before but I'm keen to look at withdrawing from paypal stealth to bitcoin - anyone use this method?

I accept there may be a % to take as a loss for the process?

There WILL be a percentage and it will be quite substantial - if youre even able to find anyone willing to accept it. Most sellers of bitcoin will require extensive identity verification before they deal with anyone wishing to send a paypal payment - the potential fro fraud is simply too high.
You can try looking at localbitcoins.com as a place to start to get an idea of what to expect.

Try this:

Go to Virwox
Deposit money to your account with Paypal
Buy SLL on the SLL/USD exchange
Buy Bitcoins with your newly purchased SLL on the SLL/BTC exchange
Withdraw your Bitcoins

PS: Fees are hight but no need Id verification , you have only to have a fully verified PP account

virwox is eh, try g2a. idk i saw "bitcoin vouchers" . its about the same fees as virwox.
