Openning a UK Bank account with UK Driving Lisance
 

Hi Guys,
I just wonder as a foreigner (not a UK resident) is it possible to go to a bank and have an UK bank account with UK Driving Lisance on applicant's name. What would they ask? Address will be given the same adress on DL and the person already has so called only mobile bank account ( revolut etc.)
Would you suggest give it a try? What they ask in general?

It's not as easy as that.
They will check to see if you are in the voting register, and then they will credit check even if you are not applying for credit or overdraft

It depends on the type of bank account your trying to open

There is no harm in your friends trying. If they have a UK DL and they have an address in the UK then I see no reason why they cannot get a UK bank account

Ive been able to use them from Spain providing a scan of my ID

I think you can get the bank account.
Try HSBC or Halifax or Netwest.

I had above 3 bank accounts, as well as Lloyds (closed later ,not good for stealth) and Barclays refused me.

Do you know if they require appointment before you go there. Barclays told me that I have to wait at least 2-3 weeks because they were all full.
Waiting 2-3 weeks for openning an account! Wow. I think all brits in stealth business :)
Do you know any of you mentioned require an appointment?
