grandkad | 01-23-2019 12:51 PM | Problem with Transferwise borderless account I have a Transferwise borderless account I've been using for more than 8 months now. The US VBA they assigned to me is linked to my PayPal account and I've always withdrawn my funds into it. Recently, I withdrew from PayPal to this VBA and after a few hours I tried to login to my TW account but I was unable to. I tried to reset password but password reset email wasn't coming in either. So I called support and then I was told that my account had been deactivated. He told me to send an email to their appeals department but they've not found time to reply me for over 72hrs. From reviews I've read online, there's little or no chance they'll reactivate an account once they decide to deactivate it and they won't give one the reason for the deactivation. Meanwhile I don't have the time to chase a seemingly lost cause too, so I just want to ask them to return the funds back to PayPal.
However, my concern is that the account name will have "Transferwise" on it when they return the money to PayPal (although the account number will still be the same as PayPal has on file), will PayPal credit my account or not?
I think this was the same situation when Payoneer started rejecting withdrawals to their US VBA. So you can kindly make a comment if you ever experienced that.

PS: I understand PayPal will remove the bank account from my account but I don't have any problem with that. |
