UK Bank acc for someone from overseas

Guys, I need to help someone register a UK bank acc.
They are from overseas. They've been here many years.
I can't give details of exact situation.
They have one genuine passport from their country and nothing else.

Country is not EU.

What are their options?

Go to a bank and ask if they will let them open a bank account. That the easiest way forward.

If he can't open a bank account then maybe he's an illegal immigrant?

Will be tough if he can't get on the electoral roll

i have uk stealth bank account working perfect with my uk paypal

Try Barclays or HSBC. My wife got one with Barclays, think it was 25k pounds initial deposit.

Doubt he'll be able to get one if he's got no job and/or not much money.

Hi if is not from EU and don't have NIN just forget it not even one Bank will open them a Bank account,but you can open them a revolution digital bank witch will give you UK bank account with sort and account number then you can open PayPal and E bay after that link a prepay card to the PayPal bucose the card from Revolution will not working with the PayPal but will except the Iban number and you are all done.

HSBC has a higher deposit but a great bank to work with.

That's good enough about 25k deposit for Barclays
