paypal bank account suspended
 

One of my colleagues told me his bank suspended his account, he only used that for paypal. Never heard of this happening bt should we be concerned?

It's rare that a bank fires its customer... there must be a lot more behind it as James said

You means his bank closed his account?
Suspicious activities could get an account closed

Banks don't just close accounts unless they suspect fraud.

Apparently it was just a security check as he was withdrawing a larger amount than normal. Strange they disabled all his online access etc tho, told him to move banks

banks do keep an eye on suspicious activities ,does he have mismatched names on incoming deposits?

I have had a bank account closed by the bank which was feed by PayPal. It was a small bank that was branching out into the internet banking and did not like the mismatch in names from PayPal to my account. They promptly closed my account and mailed me a check for the balance.

yea he used a stealth account, was h$bc account he had issue with. I use them for some of my account but not had same issue, guess it was just the amount withdrawn triggered it. They shouldnt lock down everything though, online and cards were all locked, normally they just text or phone for such issues
