which US banks allow mismatch names for deposits?

Literally is thousands of them. Most all allow it. Stay away from online only accounts.

The only bank I recently had any problems with was AMEX online bank. Otherwise shouldn't be a problem.

And as others have said, recently the online banks, ie Chime, and others that use "The Bankcorp Bank" have been acting up a little.

There have been issues with TD Bank in the past - you've had good experience with it?
