Can Amazon detect which bank we use?

Hello guys,

Amazon normally asks for bank statements of our card (Visa/Master) for their verification process. However, do they really know which bank we used for paying fee or purchases? For example, we use bank A, but sending them bank statement of bank B. it's obviously that all details of Name - Billing on bank B matching with register information. (Please, don't ask why they can match when we on this Ghost forum)

Thanks for opinions.

I have a feeling they would know - I haven't tried though to send other bank info, just felt too risky to do so

I think your credit card number will tell which bank issues your card?
not sure, but you can google and find out

Of course they can tell. The first 6 digits of your card identifies which bank issues the card. So if you were using a card from Chase but sending them statements from HSBC they´d know the statements are not from the card on file. With that said, you can send them card statements or bank statements. There´s no issue if you have a Chase card on file for paying fees but send them statements from your business checking account at Chase. That would be standard practice as your receiving accounts, operating accounts and expense accounts should always be separate. The same thing for cards. The same card you use to pay Amazon seller fees should be separate from the card you use to pay supplier invoices or operations fees.

Oh yes, they can absolutely tell what bank you use and it shouldn't matter.
w

what is your concern about this?

if you paid with card the first 6 digits is the Bank Identification Number BIN.
They know
If you've attached your bank account, the sort code identifies the bank and branch
