Bank account mismatch names
 

Hi, would really appreciate help on this. I have ssn and name from my relative, and I would like to add bank account in my name, because it would be too much to ask the person to deposit money to my account every single time it Made sales, how can I get around this? The mismatch name is possible? I am devastated, because I just added my account and eBay says it will take 48 hours to verify, but I think the result might not be good because of mismatched names. Or should I upgraded to business account? So I can have mismatched Names? Thank you so much

Banks can't see names on accounts. They like to tell you make sure it matches as a way to spook you to only link accounts that are yours. I literally had a stealth name that was a "female asian name" that literally was not even lightly close to mine.

Imagine... my name is Chad Brunswick.... Deposit comes in for "Kimiki Kazoomi"

No issues.

eBay cannot see it so long as they dont try to draw funds from the account

Just make sure your bank is OK with mismatching name deposits

If the mismatch names are ok, why ebay takes the money back? From what I have tested, mismatch names got account suspended, but similar names are ok. For example, my Chinese name is Lifang Xu, and ebay account under name of Li Xu, no problem.

It's a good question : why are they debiting the money back. Could be for different reasons other than name check.
May be simply to check if you have debit function enabled on your account and therefore being able to pay their fees?
I saw many cases where names was not matching and there was no problem.
But who knows?!

eb takes money back to pay fees in general - is that your case?
