changing and address of bank account and then changing back
 

hey does anyone know if you change the address of your bank with NatWest how quickly it updates and if you changed back in couple days would it effect your credit file with linked address?

Are you talking about changing the address with your bank instead of ebay or amazon?

For me regardless how immediate it is, I usually give it 24-48hours just to make sure that it's changed for real before using it as billing address.

I had an instance where the bank told me it's immediate, then used the address only to return an error and when I checked the address isn't completely changed yet.

So I waited a day, double check the bank info then use it.

it is better not to play with the bank changing addresses all the time

for billing it is quick , for credit history may be several weeks

As above, for an address change to work it way through to the system it could take weeks, maybe longer.

Would I be right in saying that even then most credit agencies would record the change of address and display the old ones too? The service I use for my credit history still shows addresses I haven't lived at for years.

I just don't know what ebay, Amazon etc are privvy too with their credit search facilities.

It is better to change the address on eBay than the bank address! and then change it again
