US bank accounts that work with mis matched names?
 

I'm having difficulty finding banks that will work with mis matched name deposits. I used to use fifth third and they worked fine until this year. I have tried us bank, river valley cu (a local cu), boa, keybank, cinfed, myusa, sofi, huntington. That's all I can think of atm.

None of these banks are working for me. I have tried with a brand new account with each one of them. I have tried opening online accounts but I always hit a brick wall because of a requirement that I live/work/worship in the town that the bank is in. And when I search for banks I literally search for banks in Ohio but never find any.

I am also unable to use this site's search function as I get caught in a verification loop.

I'm 99% sure I'm not having any problems with account creation methods as none of the accounts I have created had any problems until I tried to add a bank account.

There is too much fraud these days,USPS workers are stealing checks,checks can also be easily washed,go to Youtube to learn how.
Banks do not accept endorsed checks presented at physical branches,so why should they accept them online?
Have you tried BAC,CHASE,WFC,CFG,EVER Bank,East West Bank,HSBC,there are tons of banks out there.

Have you try Lili bank? Its not a bank actually, it is fully online financial platform but it works.

Hello. Try go2bank. THey accept missmatch names from PayPal.

Paypal may still offer a debit card which you can use to transfer fund back and forth from your Paypal account to the card and vice versa,there is a monthly fee and you must have SSN and physical residential address.
Go to Paypal and check it out

your best bet is to use business accounts with properly registered LLC names or payment services designed for mismatched deposits, like payoneer.you can also try local credit unions or fintech Apps, but make sure review their policies carefully!

Commericial bank accounts are expensive,bank could ask for minimum balance say $1000,and a monthly processing fee .
But you will get better service

Have tried and they refused my application.

I haven't used paypal since 2017. They have all my personal info. Don't know of any ways to operate a stealth paypal account.

The irs blocks any attempt I make at creating a new llc. I used to be able to do one every few days but after I got a 4th one I started getting blocked. Haven't made one in 2 years now.

Also, I wonder how a business account (or llc) would affect SSDI?

Sounds frustrating! Many US banks are strict about name matching. You might consider smaller credit unions or online banks that accept flexible account names but always check their policies first.

From my experience, many of the big banks are not strict about name matching - I haven't seen this changed...

I believe most of the big ones allow this, such as Wells Fargo, BoA, etc...

Many do indeed but Wells Fargo was one of the ones giving trouble before...

I guess I was wrong - I searched some past threads and got confused with this bank vs. TD Bank.

It could reject all the incoming deposits not in your name,or even close your account,
Just think,if you walk into a bank and try to deposit checks not made out to you,what people do is endorse it,but these days,some banks would not accept endorsed checks as there are too many fraudulent stolen checks.
I just deposited a check made out to me at Chase Bank branch,they ask to see my driver license.

ATM deposits avoid this issue - just saying...for the most part :)
