propay

Propay now seems to be available in Canada now. Has anyone tried them here?
Do you sign up with real info or your ebay info? Has anyone tried to process transactions by phone, etc? (in other words, real world transactions.) Are they a viable alternative for a stealth account? I read the posts re U.S. users but am wondering if things are improving at all?
Thanks

I'm interested too.

They're owned by Wells Fargo and not PayPal.

I heard ProPay and Moneybookers demand your SS# if you use it with eBay in the USA, but in Canada.....

Lyda ,

If French is o.k. . then you must also allow posts in German, Arabic, Mandarin etc.
It could be that certain members of the forum could have conversations that would not be understood by the majority. I think that the point of the forum is to share information with everyone , and by posting in a language other than English , I think it takes away from the whole idea! I have noticed that a lot of the senior members here like to ridicule and harass newbies for even the smallest mistake. I would like to hear the opinions of the rest of the members .. do they want to read posts in other languages ?
I know I prefer English!

Yes, I think canada has strict sin number laws. HAHAH. Looks like they can't ask me for it.

Green Bean ,

Thank you for deleting the French Posts " in the interest of harmony "
However I believe we can not achieve harmony without discussing things like this and coming to an understanding or an agreement. Now I was not so concerned with the few french posts, but more concerned about the potential for posts in various other languages to appear all over the forum.

wookster 04-27-2009 10:40 AM

Yes ty Green Bean. Please Please no French (or other language) posts!

Back to the original question, has anyone tried ProPay from Canada? I would be interested in hearing what they think about it.

how can you use propay for a canadian ebay account? It's not an option for payment methods? Can you please explain

luna 09-12-2010 10:43 AM

moneybookers and propay

you have to list on ebay.com (no problem by the way). just when you list with these options (I tried with minimum bid on a higher item) and guess what? nobody wanted to bid on it because everybody asked to pay via paypal:bump:

PROPAY SUCKS!!!!! Worse than paypal. I wouldn't ever use it in place of a stealth paypal... no way. It's too expensive... and if you think paypal is bad, wait til you use propay for a few weeks.
