Maybe I am reading it wrong...

Huh....canpar is a shipping company. They use ups, I believe. I can drop off my items at a ups store if I wanted to ship something.

philly387 09-16-2009 04:18 PM

Well if the prices are cheaper, why wouldn't you use them? It would just make sense.

I'm going to try them out as well as fedex. Fedex is a little bit cheaper for shipping within canada but canpar is cheaper for shipping to USA.

After some digging around it seems they are very similar to DiCom. They offer courier services to business with mid to high volume... people seem to be very satisfied with their services, but you'd probably need a legal business number (which isn't too hard to get).

If you have high volume of orders (like 10+ per day) I think they'd be a good option for Canadian shipments. They don't do packages shipments to the US as far as I could see!

They have a great fleet for their getting their goods sent out: :cheer:

Dicom only ship to ontario and quebec. They are the same price as fedex and canpar.

New Info: Canpar is good for shipping to USA. Once you ship to usa, canpar has a deal with agents and they get better brokerage rates. After it has passed customs it is sent to FedEx to ship the packages. Canpar does not contract to other shipping companies if you are shipping with in Canada.

I find it cheaper if I use Fedex to ship within canada. But, if I am shipping to USA, I use canpar. I don't want customers yelling at me over the tremendous amount of brokerage fees.
