Reliable 4G Internet plan in Canada for access PayPal with 4G USB modem device
 

OK guys I'm creating a Canadian based PayPal account from a friend of mine who lives Brampton, Canada and i want to keep using it with my own IP so I will not link my PayPal with his and vice versa.

I want to know what are the cheapest and reliable plan available given that I will be only using for accessing PayPal so the data volume does not really matter. I'm looking a the one which comes with 4G dongle or device as well or whatever option is most suited in terms price and connection stability. I am sure this discussion will help other members too.

By the way for peps who doesn’t understand what i meant with 4G USB dongle or device looks like this:

Honestly, I am not sure if these plans are really available in Canada where they provide data plan with above devices. So peps from Canada pls stand up

Why not just use your phone's wireless data? Keep track of all the IPs used and you should be fine.

slokor is right as a simple option.

I also happen t use a 4G device with battery that Fido provided before - just fyi

Not an ideal option for me as I will not be living in Canada in the future I have travel plans. So I can not be asking my friend to be at the computer and connect to his 4g with his mobile hotspot. I hope you understand the friction it could cause

Could you please provide me the link and share your experience with it in terms of connection reliability? Which package would be suffice for me given that I will be only using it for PayPal only!

I use an old service from fido - works great for connectivity and resetting gives me a new IP each time

when I was overseas,I have used the USB dongle you pictured,and I paid the local provider based on how many minutes I used.
Or there is an old fashion way,get your morning coffee at local coffee shop,and use their PC to go online,it is free if you buy the coffee from them and do not hoard the PC.
How often do you want to access your Paypal account??

Looks great but this offer is only for existing customers who are already subscribed to there mobile plan. :smash:

Are there any other companies that can offer the similar to what fido is offering (something under 10 CAD/monthly? But without the requirement for being existing customer?

For Fido, I think you need to buy through them but I wonder for the other telecom companies in Canada, how they might approach it - Telus, Rogers, Bell for the large part - might be worth exploring

Rogers sucks even harder they have CAD60 for 10gb for the existing customers!

Trash price - I have seen a few smaller services offering 15-25 a month for data as pay-as-you-go programs - you don't need a ton of data for just eb
