USD payouts?
 

Can you not receive payments in USD if you're from Canada? I registered through ebay.ca , agent told me in order to receive payments in USD I needed to register through ebay.com and need a U.S address but old accounts a while pack it gave me an option to choose USD.

I believe since your account is .ca you will get them in Canadian $.

I have never seen mine give any option aside from the country my acc is registered on.

Same - I see that it always provides only the Canadian $ option for .ca based accounts

to receive US $,YOu have to sell on Ebay USA.WHERE all items are denominated in US $

even you sell on ebay.com you still get payout in Canadian dollars ..

If he sells on Ebay.com,all merchandise are listed in US dollars and paid for in US dollars,but since he is in Canada,I assume his MP account is linked to a Canadian bank account,then MP would have to do a conversion.
You should read more on Ebay site.
Before MP,it was Paypal and you have an option to keep the sales proceed in US dollars.

How long ago is that-if it is under Paypal,and you have an option to accept foreign currency (in your case US $ ),then Paypal will post it to your US dollar account and you can do whatever you want,convert it later,or just leave it as US $.
For every non Canadian currency you will accept,you have to tell Paypal what they are ,like Eu,Australian ,UK.
But these features are not available with MP.
There are Canadian sellers on Ebay,why not ask them

MP is not Paypal,but I think some Canadian banks do offer accounts in US $,BUT will it work with MP ?
Ebay went from Paypal to MP (Ayden) as it is no longer growing,so try to make a few pennies more by skipping Paypal.

Correct about the new thread - as far as Canadian banks offering accounts in US$, that's true but the ID of the bank wont identify that bank as a US bank

It sounds like things have changed on eBay. In the past, you might have been able to receive USD payments on a Canadian eBay account. Now, based on what you were told, it seems you might need to register on eBay.com with a US address to receive USD payments. eBay's policies can change, so this might be the current requirement.
