I'm making a new account and I was wondering if I need to provide any documents to verify my account because in Canada you don't have to upload SIN.

You may get asked to provide documents such as driver licence or passport

What do you mean, I am always asked for SIN number... I wonder if thats because were making business accounts.

SIN number has been optional for a long time unless it was changed recently. The reason is that it's quite different than SSN in the US

Are you sure it’s optional? I make accounts as sole proprietor, I wasn’t aware that it was optional.

And even director info. Do you know if I send a passport that is foreign, could that be accepted by ebay?

i haven't made business accounts in a long time - only personal and ramp up slowly.

Foreign passport is a gamble - why not just use canadian passport? What kind of foreign passport do you have?

I was thinking of paying someone in foreign countries to use their passport. Similiar to creative but consensual. What kind of limits can a personal account get to?
