They are in California and ship to all of the United States...
The prices are cheap and they link to USPS |

| murdered_by_ebay | 04-17-2024 09:23 PM | Re: Cheaper shipping from Ca to US shipping from canada without tracking costs more than with tracking within the US , if you need tracking from canada the difference is going to be LARGE
so shipping from within the US is always the better option , tracked , cheap and perfectly acceptable by ebay as proof of despatch and delivery |
| yobar | 04-17-2024 09:24 PM | Re: Cheaper shipping from Ca to US It was my mistake, I thought it said California and it was Canada.
my apologies |

best solution is to find someone who can privately receive and resend , they can even use canadian credit card of the sender for payment in the US
and also it is possible to ship by USPS cheaper buying postage from middlesmen online who offer lower fees |

No one works for free,if he sends small packages, large bulky packages to someone in US,he would have to copy the ship to address ,weigh it and print shipping labels and take them to the post office.
Not to mention he will be using his own computer, paper, ink .
Would you do it for $1 a piece for small item and $3 for bulky item? | if it is $1 for a small item like DVD it should be enough
, with many shipments it is still a significant amount and the foreign seller will have saved a lot of money and will get protection through US tracking which allows to easily win item not received cases on ebay if tracking shows arrival and even if it does not show arrival some kind of a problem ebay would still allow the seller to keep the money in many cases |

You mean you are willing to sit in front of your pc,type the ship to address into the label ,print it,tape it ,assume you can use the original packaging.
California fast food restaurant is paying $20/hour | here you sit at home can easily do 50 packets an hour without any major effort , I doubt it is all typed manually probably just a part and then the system shows the rest address
in fast food you run around the whole day , in many instances they do not allow you to sit down the whole day except for a short break
although I am sure a canadian can easily buy USPS postage on their own in an online account , they just need to ship the packets in bulk by UPS / FEDEX with insurance and they are good to go after 2-3 days |
Re: Cheaper shipping from Ca to US the decision lies with OP now with the options given |

but well you have to trust them and that is something difficult I think |

if the Canadian seller prints USPS first class shipping label at home with your return address and pay for the postage with his credit card or Ebay fund in US $ and then place all of these small packages in one big box and mail it to you, yes, that would work,
But return will come back to you, | renting a US address for returns is cheap , almost for free |

but well you have to trust them and that is something difficult I think | what happens is that these folks are like you and me,work from home and have no backup,if he gets sick or some emergency comes up and he has to go some place,he has no one to takeover ,and you will get the shaft ,buyers start filing INR,venue shuts you down ,money gets frozen.
I have seen cases where a retired couple sell merrily along on EBAY and then one gets sick ,the other not only have to take up his share of workload but also tending to his illness.and lose control under too much work and stress.
There used to be a Canadian Ebay seller who live not far from the border and she sells DVDs and charged foreign shipping from Canada to USA.
She will drive across the border and ship her packages at a USPS post office in the Niagara Falls area, media mail .
No one seems to mind.
She later ran into problem with Niagara Falls USPS ,the postal clerk told her they cant accept her package as her return address is Canada .
It makes sense,if the package has to be returned,USPS would have to turn the package over to Canadian post office
I get the impression she is not willing to rent a USPS box as her margin is not that great, but she may have to do so,or lie about her return address Quote:

customs threshold is about 2K | Not for USA,it was $3000 unless it has changed.
See thats where Fed Exp,DHL come in,they either have their own custom brokers or retain a local brokerage firm at the airport.
Before the plane arrives, they have a list of the shipments on their desk, and they will fill out the customs form, then take those packages, clear customs and load it on their private planes.
USPS also have personnel to clear customs for you,if you owe US customs duty, your local postman will show up with the package and ask you to pay customs plus a small handling fee to USPS.
Some merchants will serve as their own customs broker, show up at the airport or railroad station, clear customs, and load the goods onto their truck, saves a lot of money that way, trucking fee from airport to the city can be expensive. Quote:

She may as well abandon the dvd. |

No one seems to mind. | This is not uncommon for sellers who live closer to the border. Couriers also exist that will do the same. |

| mon73 | 09-28-2025 10:01 AM | Re: Cheaper shipping from Ca to US For affordable shipping from California to the USA, consider USPS, UPS, and FedEx. USPS is often cheapest for small, light items.
