Can ebay detect mismatch bank account name?
 

hi, if I buy an ebay canada account and change the bank account to my own bank account. Can Ebay detect this mismatch bank account owners name and ban the account?

Gemini said that payout will have issues because bank will report mismatch name to ebay automatically. Is that true? How to bypass this?

AI still hasn't caught up to human experience. Many people here work with stealth accounts, and they all use their own bank accounts under different names.

It's not that it hasn't caught up (as it's already cataloged everything we've ever said on here), it's that it intentionally walks company lines and spouts out whatever is in the terms of service. Probably best to avoid AI for advice on anything like this. :lol:

For co.uk:

On my UK accounts, I work with 100% mismatching names.
160+ accounts, and NOT ONE has matching names bank account linked.
Some already 8+ years old, changed bank accounts 2 - 3 times over the years(still not matching the eBay account's names).
Never had issues whatsoever.

Speaking from my own experience with MISMATCH bank account use on eb.ca, you won't have an issue.

You can change it but I would recommend using a cc to pay for the sale fees - don't upload funds from the bank, just to be safe
