Hotspot Shield VPN

Hi,
I'm new here and have learned a lot from reading the post and still have a lot to learn. I've already read the EbayStealth book and now thinking of becoming active again on ebay using the things I have learned from this great book.
Does anyone use Hotspotshield VPN or rather can you use this service to hide your IP address? I use this service occasionally to hide my IP address from Hulu and it worked before but recently it doesn't anymore and just wondering if I can use this for ebay and paypal since it gives you a different IP address everytime you turn it on.
thanks.

Hi, if you are planning on creating a Canadian or US account you would be better off investing in a dial up or mobile data connection - this will give you a dynamic IP address that will change everytime you connect, and you can dial up long distance if you choose the right service.

VPNs can work for Ebay/Paypal but they are risky.

Hi Captain,
I was wondering if I'll get a US IP adress when using a US Dial up service?

captainjack1980 01-19-2010 08:23 AM

Yes, I have seen it described several times on the forums by canadian users.

Usually involves an unlimited long distance calling package.

Thanks for the info. I'll look into it.

Thanks Captain,
That's a great info. There is some US ISP providing prepaid Dial Up Service. That seams to be a better way to get a US IP Adress then a VPN service.

Hi Suza,

Just wondering if you can provide more info on where I can get the US ISP you mentioned. Thanks

Hi Mato,
There are a lot of Prepaid Dial Up Service you can find by doing a google search. Some offers a Free Trial. I didn't tried this yet, but the Trial is helpful to confirm if you'll get a US Ip Adress or not. (I guess you'll need to Dial a US Local Number)
