Just a warning about the phone verification!
 

I just wanted to give a heads up about the phone verification for Stealth Accounts, i tried to have the account phone verified so i can switch to a seller account and unfortunately i had a ringcentral number that didn't seem to work with Ebay. After 2 try you get a lock down and you have to call Ebay Customer Service to get verified before getting your seller account. Everything else works fine except you don't have the seller account part and you can't link any paypal account either. I tried calling i told myself i don't have anything to loose but no luck i didn't have the d.o.b and email address of the Stealth account original owner when i purchased it. But all of the other info i had correct. Too bad! Oh and this was on a Canadian Ebay account. So i just wanted to let everybody know so it doesn't happen to any of you also. :doh:

So they asked you for DOB when you called? I have the same issue with an account I bought but don't have the dob

Unfortunately in Canada we do not have virgin mobile or tracphones. There is no such thing as disposable phones in Canada! Most of the plans are EXPENSIVE and OVERPRICED. Especially iphone plans...:heh:

Fido Burning....Fido prepaid - still costs a bit but yeah, alternative I guess.

Fido prepaid is pretty expensive at $15 for prepaid...

In the USA you can get a phone plan with unlimited internet for less than $30.

Right on Burning - we get the shaft on cellphone plans up here as you know - what do you recommend for verification?

For verification I use a voip service which offers call forwarding service. If you do you research you can find CHEAP call forwarding service. You should search, "voip" on google and you'll find tons of providers offering it...

You can easily get a number for less than $5 a month.

Is google voice in canada?

Hello Buring, is there any cheap VOIP service in Canada you can recommend? I followed your instruction and googled VOIP. Found vbuzzer.com! They offered US $4.5 per month to have a new phone number with call forwarding. It sounds good.... However, it has to be an annual subscription. If I unsubscribe it within the contract period, there will be an one-time US $39.99 cancellation fee. Do you know any VOIP that can get new phone number easy without a long contract period?

So I can not use a stealth account in Canada? and anyway I was wondering if I should get one of these accounts how about paypal and the verification? we do not need SIN to put in here but for sure telefon numbers. any idea on all of that? how about shipping to yourself when you won an auction?

I suggest you buying a prepaid phone than opening a google voice account you get 2 for the price of one.

I use My 1 Voice it works for the US and Canada. Works like a charm plus you have 30 day trial free. You can have unlimited amount of local phone numbers forwarded to 1 number. I have over 7 numbers that are forwarded to my main number. But you have to remember that in Canada we dont have access to the same services that you have in the US. Like Burning said we dont have any disposable phones like trackphones.

Toll Free Forwarding is a good thing to look into...
