Canadian VPN for Paypal?
 

I am a Canadian and I have a Canadian based paypal account. However, when I'm abroad on business trips my paypal account gets limited when I access it from a non-local IP, for instance I'm in Asia right now and my paypal account got suspended thrice in the past week. Therefore, I'm in need of a solution to this issue. Would getting a Canadian based VPN solve this IP issue?

No way will a VPN help you. paypal dislike them very much.

Now, I really dont think you might be telling the full story. I'm like that when it comes to paypal.

Even paypal understands that users travel and go abroad. Have you discussed that with them?
What were the actual notices you got from paypal? Is this the 1st time you went overseas?
And why would you go away & not tell paypal? :spy:

Due to the nature of my business, I have to go all over the world. So it's kind of a hassle to call paypal and tell them where I am going. Plus I don't think that would help me in anyway because I have tried that once and still my account got limited because of suspicious activity.

How can paypal or ebay find out if I'm using a VPN?

As GB has nicely stated, VPNs tend to be frowned upon.

Seriously, I am getting the impression you just want to have your own way.

You are making your own hassles. Just like you 'pretended' to be from CANADA when you joined and put up your country's flag. I do appreciate that you accepted my reasons for the change.

TBH, I think you have decided to try to pretend to be from Canada to be able to enjoy better selling in a larger market. VPN will be difficult. And until you are more forthcoming, that's the all advice available.
paypal dislike cheats,scammers and dishonesty. It implements programs to make sure it can identify as much as possible about its users. If a user says they are from Montreal or Karachi, paypal has certain requirements as proof. Detection is easy for them :doh:

Don't bring Montreal as an idea for diabolical schemes GB =P

what do i do to get an ip if the ebay and pp accnt are from US and im in canada?
A US vpn would cause problems? or could i be like im just living in canada now.

I think your best bet is using vps.

PayPal doesn't like it .

If you know what you are doing and setup a system yourself, there is absolutely no harm in it :)
