Bought an item with stealth account. Where can I have it shipped?
 

Hi there,

So I bought an item with my stealth account.

Obviously I can't have it shipped to my stealth address as it is bogus.

Is it safe to change the shipping address to my real address, or will this get flagged straight away & get my account closed down?

I had an account with my real address but it got shutdown.

I am safer having it shipped to a friends/PO BOX address or does EBay not track you through the change of address form if its just for 1 transaction & not permanent.

Really should have thought about this before the purchase. Under no circumstances should you change your address to a former shutdown account address. The best you can do is contact the seller and ask him to ship to another safe address. If it's an expensive item I doubt they'll do it as they loose their PP seller protection if they don't ship to the address of record.

Simple ! just mail to the seller outside of ebay that you are with your parents during this festival session..blaa..blaa..& ask to post the item to the different address, most seller agree for this. Because of this hassle I first ask if seller can post to the different address, than only I buy or sometimes I pick up locally which I found is the best option.

Thanks! Just wanted to make sure! I figured that was the case. Its not a very expensive item at all, in retrospect I should have just asked him if it was OK to have it posted to another address before I bought it. I'll contact him directly & see if I can have it shipped to another address. Failing that I will get it shipped to a friends address or something. But in the long run I think I will look at a PO BOX I don't always want to have to go around my friends houses to pickup things all the time.
