It also depends on the relationship you have with a bank and how long you've been banking with them.

I've been a BMO client for 10 years. I usually have many thousands of dollars sitting in my principal chequing account (one I use every day).

I've had up to 11 accounts at a time. Opening, closing... they never cared. I am a good client, earning them a crapload of money (up to 139$ in fees each month... crazy).

If you have 11 accounts with Scotia and all you do is have money pass through then you withdraw it to your "real" bank, they're likely to frown upon it.

You need to maintain a friendly tone with these folks. Its not that great a job and pays pretty crappy. So pretty easy to get them cranky. Its not at all normal to have a bunch of accounts. So if they have questions you need to respond to them

You can tell them you sell online and have various accounts on various sites. You like to maintain separate accounts for each to stay better organized. Even at the expense of extra fees.

That will usually be more then enough to end the issue

No, i talked to her pretty much with a neutral tone.
And they haven't called back, so i guess its fine.

Lol, why not? I do $500 deposits every two days. No issues. Been like this for like 7 months now.

I now do $1,000/day withdrawals 6 days a week in to personal CIBC account.
No issues so far... been this high for about 3 weeks now.

The teller does however look at me very weird when I do teller withdrawals.

I'm guess the really don't give a sh*t how much money comes in, as long as it doesn't bounce back, or raise any flags.

Great to hear on the experience - CIBC is nice in general.
