Default ebay.com USD billing for Canadian?

My PayPal and eBay listings are all USD [eBay.com]

All sales are USD. But my eBay fees are CAD. So I get screwed with PayPals brutal currency conversion when I pay my fees with PayPal. I looked but cant see any option to set my eBay billing to USD

Can I do this? Or is this just another cash grab from these cats? I estimate I'm paying an extra 3.5% on top of fees because of conversion

Thanks

Yes Canada Address. But does that lock this account into CAD fees?

Everything across the board is USD but the ebay fees. Its trivial, but still. A couple grand a year is a week in Cabo

if you registered on ebay.ca or have a canadian address then yes your fees will be in CAD

When you sale in ebay.com then your currency will be in USD but your fees will still be in CAD as ebay allows you to sell on ebay.com when you are registered in .ca

There's no way around this beside creating an account with a US address.

Actually you can change your billing currency to euros, usds, or cdn... I do it right now with 4 of my accounts attached to us banks.

Click this link. Honestly did anyone not search on their customer support page lol?

Requirements
Your existing account balance must be current.

You must not have switched your billing currency within the past 12 months.

Your registered address must be up to date. The payment method you can select depends on your country of residence.

Note: An automatic payment method is required to change your billing currency to U.S. dollars, Canadian dollars, or Japanese Yen.

Interesting how they word it - you may need to link up the pp.

Only time its a problem is if there isn't enough in account to cover it and they try bank. I have had that a couple times. Cost me some temp limitation when bank rejected withdraw. Just need to be organized.

If I can avoid some of their extra currency fees I'll do it.

Being on .com you can be pretty sure the fees go from USD to CAD [insert 3.5% conversion fee] from CAD to USD when paying via PayPal [insert 3.5% conversion fee, again]

Goes unnoticed, but 6 or 7% fee for nothing is annoying, to say the least...

Those fees on USD -> CAD conversion can be brutal.
