new accounts, ebay selling
 

If I put up a $600-$800 on eBay after I buy a new ebay account, how high is the chance that I will get a limited PayPal or suspended eBay account?
My thoughts are that there will be no reason to suspend the eBay account because I will have that text message security thing and I read on eBay boards that having this will prevent suspensions of this type.
The reason is that they know the account was not hacked if you have the phone security option turned on. I am assuming, however, that PayPal may choose to hold my funds because of a larger sale.

If my funds do get held by PayPal, then they should be released as soon as I receive positive feedback, right?

Also, do you think I could get around this potential PayPal hold by getting my buyers to pay me directly through a PayPal invoice to avoid having the payment go through eBay?

Go for it if you must and then when you get the limitations and the holds (as you most likely will) you can come back and ask our advise.

Oh I haven't tried anything yet. I don't have the time at the moment. I have a lot on my plate and exams are coming up real soon.
