VCC use for Canadians
 

Hi guys ! I haven't found a threads talking about how to use VCC for Canadians so I start one ! :D

Do I need a VCC that passes the AVS if I'm from Canada for Ebay/Paypal ? Why there is 2 different kind of card (for paypal and for ebay) and can I use the same VCC for ebay AND paypal ?

They sell VCC cards in the forums did you check it out? I don't know if they do Canadian or not but give it a look at Buy, Sell or Trade - eBay Suspension & Paypal Limited Forums

Most sellers offering CA VBA's are usually still US ones. In your CA paypal, you have the option of adding a US or CA.

I've been using US VBA's in my CA Paypal accounts for a while now, never had a problem.

Very accurate, Using Vba USA to verify Paypal Canada fully working.Do not have any problem at all.Add VBA need to select the country of VBA is USA.
About VCC, If you do not need to verify your address completely normal could use VCC to confirm credit card.

Yes you do need AVS VCC.

You can use the same for both eB and pp - provided enough funds to cover test charge - safe to have $3 on it.

Okay thanks :D I wasn't sure for Canada if we need to pass AVS because some sellers here only sell normal VCC and others AVS VCC both for Canada...

If you live in Canada - you can get a nice physical gift card from RBC

Yes they work well, but RBC ask for a lot of personal information when you buy them and I'm not sure what happen if I buy too much.

Personal experience - late 2012 - bought 40 in one shot - $25 minimum - they asked why so many? I said gift season. They asked basic personal info - have not had problems.

Rbc also offers savings accounts you can open online and close with no problems. And virtual cc attached to an account if you need it. No credit check for that one. They don't care how many gift cards you are buying. They just want to know if you want insurance thats why they ask who they are for.

So when you go in a bank branch do you have to give name/ address to buy the card? I thought you register it online if you want.

Yes - RBC asks for some form of ID when you buy the gift card. I have done it quite a few times...there is no foulplay with your ID.

Have to go into the branch - I have not bought online since I have no bank accounts with RBC

Can someone confirm that you can still use a US VBA for a Canadian Paypal

I havent tried a US VBA in ages - the option is there but from my comprehension, PP is forcing you to call in and manually add. I admit that I have not tested in a long time. Perhaps someone else has?

Since the original topic was VCCs - be aware that you can get a Vanilla gift card in Canada as well. Theyre sold everywhere - Shoppers drugmart carries them. Very easy to use to confirm your address with paypal and/or to have a fully linked card.
