How much $ in Paypal will I need ID verification?

I have some Canadian Stealth (all verified) and have an increasing balance in it.
I'm wondering how much I can leave in the Paypal account until it will ask for ID verification?
Just like in Australia, when it reaches 1k it will ask for such documents.

At this point, Canada is not asking for ID like Australia.

However the more accurate response would be paypal will ask for ID when it wants.

How you use the account will determine what happens.

Are the accounts verified?

The accounts are verified and used for around 1 year.
I started selling more this month so it has more than 2k in it now.
I didn't check the balance until today and I'm afraid it ask for ID at some point of time.
So I better check first.

I used to have a verified paypal with my personal real information.
I hold around 800-1500 there for few days monthly then withdraw and seems fine for 1 year, I then lend it to fd then lead to suspend .... anyways

Paypal never ask ID from me whatsoever..... by the times my fd used it there is balance in the account over 2000, let says there is income of 2k in paypal every week then withdraw about 1500(leave 500 is fine) every week, tht fine.......if you withdrawal all then you will be in trouble may lead to limitation. Do not withdraw all fund in once...

When refund happen and there is not enough balance to cover then CA paypal will call you immediately like crazy.....beware always left some $$ in your account

Not sure if every account is different... but tht my experience
And Canadian paypal policy changed which they included SIN no in the application, however, it is not necessary to provide.

Payapl can simple do small credit check with the name and DOB, I don't know if paypal do credit check on someone.

Not really about how much you leave in there - it's about how much you have coming in...how much you try to withdraw...what you sell...how risky your account looks to PP.

There is no steadfast rule like Australia (or UK with their 1900ish quid allowance)
