USA account used in Canada
 

Hello,
If i use an american account (purchase one from this site) and use it on a Canadian IP address will the account get banned? Or be asked to sign up for a new account to sell in Canada?

Very hard to tell, I used my Canadian eBay while in USA for purchases only. If you use it for selling, MC999 for identity verification may be a possibility.

Why would you want to do that?

I want to purchase accounts, but everybody is selling US ebay accounts.

I don't see anyone selling Canadian accounts or at least Canadian accounts with high selling limits (100/5000).

There are many ways to operate USA account from allover the world.
1. How can you get a USA IP address?
2. How can you get a USA bank to withdraw from PayPal
Do you ship from Canada or USA?

I had a Canadian Account I bought and sold from it and never had a problem. In fact, I called in for a limit increase and they wanted address verification and all but once they saw it was Canadian acc. They abandoned all of that process.

I was just wndering the same thing for new accounts since mine was acually a usa account that i started using in canada without even knowing there was a difference a the time

Country flag is huge I have noticed - but that's mainly for account creation.

Operating it outside of the proper country flag could lead to limitation too but depends on how risky business you conduct - you could browse and bid slowly to operate the account but when you go for selling...that's only when you will know if the account is ok to use
