Trying to revive an old US eB, used with CA Pp before, now what?
 

Ok, this is not a common situation, so Im hoping someone in the know can drop a word on this...

I found an old US eB, from 2006 with some seller feedbacks, seller account all set up, all ready to go. Checking my records, i found that the Pp used to collect on this acc was an old CA verified stealth Pp, but never linked to this eB. Both acc are stealth, but with slightly different name variations. Back in the old days, this was perfectly ok.

I want to get this one going again, as its a golden acc... BUT.. what is the best way to handle this situation now?

I think there are 3 choices:

1) leave as is, just update a new VCC for eB as payment method, dont link the old verified ca Pp, just continue to use it to collect payments.
2) link the old verified CA Pp to this eB, and use as payment method
3) set up and verify a new US stealth Pp using the same details as the old stealth eB, and link this to the old US eB

from all the information I've gathered, it looks like option 3 is prob going to the the safest way to go. what do you guys think?

The best thing to do is create a US Paypal and attach it to the ebay account....Mixing and matching from different Countries is not a good idea.

How does a Canadian get an American account?

Same way as getting a Canadian but the trick is to get a US IP, the rest is the same process. Name, Address, phone, etc.
