can I use USD acct thu Paypal.ca in Canada or not?

I just can't find a clear answer, so I have RBC US saving acct, does it work if I link that into paypal.ca? if not, can someone point out how to use US dollar account for dealing?

USA EBay requires USA PayPal. If you start mixing and matching PayPal to EBay it may cause issues.

I frequently use the RBC USD eSaving account with my Canadian Paypal account. You can withdraw to it in USD by adding it as a USD bank, by using 026004093 as routing number and branch# + account# together as your account number.

With this setup, you can withdraw USD from Paypal to the bank account without any issues problem. However, you cannot transfer funds from your bank account to Paypal though.

thank you so much and it make a lot sense, however, message says "you cannot add bank at this time", what I did is "choose other bank", change country to United States, bank name type "RBC", choose "saving" coz mine also is RBC eSaving US account, then same as u told me for routing number and 5 +7 digits for account number, can u think of what is going wrong?

The "You cannot add a bank at this time" problem is a frequently occured issues with Canadian accounts nowadays. You need to establish some trust and activities on that account before you can add a US Bank account onto a Canadian Paypal smoothly. Sometimes Paypal will automatically let you add the bank account if you are able to verify your phone number, depends on Paypal's mood.

Nope, it just lets me add automatically without any roadblocks.
Bear in mind I've had a lot of trust on that account. I've made several legitimate purchases on that account with a real credit card, where one of them was over $1000. That account was only about 2 months old though, so your milage may varies.

That's great to know BiN4RY - I have a lot of pp accounts that have no eb activity but I use for other activities - few are over a year old
