Registraton details dilemma
 

I want to set up a stealth account in Canada, and do all the usual (e.g. phone forwarding, ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name, vpn, etc.), but what if ebay suspends my account and request for proof of my ID. Since I am living in Australia, it would be impossible for me to obtain a copy of a Canadian utility bill, Govt Issued ID, etc. that I could pshop. I'm sure someone has come across this problem before, but I haven't been able to find it on the forum yet. Thanks!

I just wanted to ask why do you need to get a canadain ebay and paypal account. Does Australian ebay/paypal ask for ssn# or what ever it is.

Again, my curiosity is getting the better of me. Why would you live down under and want an eBay account in Canada?

I am thinking that it may help me to sell more of what I'm selling, if it looked like I was based in Canada (USA would be better if they didn't have the SSN requirement). I haven't had much luck trying to sell overseas...I guess some people are more reluctant to hand over their cash to foreign sellers, especially in what I am selling.

I worked with someone overseas to help them do what you are trying to do. i.e.attract North American customers. We stated the items were being shipped from elsewhere. I linked his Ebay with my paypal account and it worked fine for about 5 months, but both of us were suspended in Nov.
The way we did it was that he listed and I took the money and then sent it on to him by various means. It's against Ebay rules but that was not why we were suspended.
He is in South America and a lot of people there sell in the USA this way.
You need a friendly relative in North America and it might work.
It may be the distance and time for shipping that puts people off buying from Oz

Suspension #1
Someone had used his first two names and his address to set up an account and once they got it going well they took the cash and stopped shipping so a lot of people looking for this guy, including us, but impossible to prove. I was suspended too as I was linked.
So Suspension #2 was because I was linked to myself via the paypal accounts.....and so it goes.
Trying again after reading Stealth and hope this time we will stay clean.

That sounds like a major bummer...but a good way of getting someone banned. I think its mentioned in the book. I hope that everything goes well for you in the future. Cheers ;-)
