Updated VCC & gift cards options for Canada
 

Hey guys,

I’ve been doing lots of reading to try and stay updated on the latest VCC/gift cards options in Canada but couldn't find a thread that had all the recent info.
With RBC and 3vcash no longer an option, are we then pretty much left mainly with Entropay in Canada?

I’d like to have at least a second option as a backup.

Ideally it would be a VCC or gift card you could buy online so you don’t need to go to the store. (I travel a lot so I want to have options available if I’m not home)

I know you said you dont want to go the store but seriously how often do you need to do so?
if you need a backup just get the Vanilla mastercard at any Shoppers Drugmart. plenty of those around to be convenient enough even if youre travelling.

Yes you're right it's not very often but I'm just trying to be prepared if I'm out of the country which happens frequently and I need a new gift card.
BTW the Vanilla MC in Canada is different than the one in the US right? Trying to confirm if a US vanilla works in Canada. As 50% of the travelling I do is in the US it would be good to have a gift card I can get in a store that's compatible with PP canada.

I wasn't sure the Vanilla MC at Shoppers Drugmart worked so thanks for confirming that option.
