A VCC is a virtual credit card, and it's exactly what it says on the tin, a credit card, but virtual. So more often than not, it has exactly the same specs as a normal card, except its purpose is for using online or over the phone, as oppose to in shops.
As most have pointed out, some providers impose restrictions on usage. For the most part, if you make a payment to Shop X, and lets say you return goods, those funds will be refunded to original form of tender, and will return back to the card you paid with.
So it's best to aquaint yourself with the card and its policies prior to using it. |
