Question regarding VCC for Amazon
 

I bought Amazon Ghost and am trying to open my new stealth account but want to make sure I understand what I am doing before starting.

So far I am good with the first 6 steps but am a little confused with the 7th (Bank Account). It asks that I get a new bank account and buy either a prepaid card or a gift card.

Regarding the bank account, I don't have a second savings/checking's account so I plan on opening a new account with a different bank. Is it necessary for me to use a different name/variation of my name? It is a little difficult because I have a Korean name so I can't do something like change my name from "Robert" to "Rob" or "Bobby".

From what I understand, Amazon only checks to see if the the card number hasn't been used before with a previously banned account and that they don't verify the name used on the card.

If that's the case then can't I just do the following?
-open bank account
-get debit card
-log in to online banking and change address to same as stealth account

Would that be safe? Also, if I do that would I still need to get a prepaid card/gift card?

It is not very clear to me what you are trying to do here. I can't help much on AMZ side but for sure bank account shall be in YOUR name and personal infos.

Thank you. I actually got that part figured out but I should go back and edit my original posting to make my question more clear. =)

Looks like I can't go back and edit so new post!

I'm going to the bank tomorrow to open a new account. That should give me a new debit number to use for my stealth account. Once my bank account is made, I plan to log on to online banking to change my address to the address being used in my stealth account. That way when Amazon verify's me, the address should be the same. Since Amazon can only check the debit card number and address used for it, by theory I should be safe. Therefore, is it still necessary for me to buy and use a VCC?
