Hi I need a vcc I can top up to fund my buyer account
The great entropay is unavailable now to use I need to add to my paypal any help please I see you say supermarket ones do I register it in stealth name or alternative vcc ie Revolut

yer i was thinking that or skill but dont know if they reveal your identity or not? or if the card has to be linked to the address. maybe someone more experienced on here can advise us.

I have also see skill have a prepaid MasterCard. dont know if you can make a stealth account on one of them

I basically need to pay ebay fees as my PayPal and ebay accounts dont match

Skrill card is AVS so the address would need to match.

RE making a stealth Skrill account. Possible but getting the card then delivered would be very hard.

I am going to try a currency card see if that can work

I could always use the PayPal that accepts the payment fro. the ebay account but names and address dont match.

Ive ran it like that 2-3 years now fine since the original PayPal got limited but dont know how safe it is

I just need to be able to add it to pp then top up card to make payments for items I got something like nearly 600 feedback from buying only as I don’t sell

Why not just add your real card in that case? Should be fine to do for a buyers account

I’m very curious to better understand how adding your ‘real’ card to paypal will not flag up an issue when paypal does its AVS check?

I am a ‘Buyer Only’ with a ‘stealth’ ebay & paypal that use the same steath details and an Entropay VCC that uses my ‘real’ details. This combination has worked perfectly for many years, but now with the death of Entropay, I’m stuck with finding another type of payment method that does not fall foul of the dreaded paypal AVS check – which Entropay was able to avoid.

I’m not sure that adding a real card to paypal will not flag up that my real card details are not the same as my paypal stealth details?

Are you able to please confirm if this is, or isn’t the case?

Are you just wanting James to reply?

Create a new buyer account set up using your real address but with a made up name. Add a real credit or debit card not used on Paypal before. Job done.

Buyers account really can get away with a lot more you just have to avoid the temptation to sell on it.

Hi both and thanks for the replies.

Unfortunately, it may be a little bit more complicated:

• My real address is the one that was used on the ebay account that got shutdown

• My partner has an ebay account, under the same real address and I would hate to get their account shutdown due to a 'same address' linking

As you rightly imply, it's not the name which is the issue, it's the address which is the limiting factor as this is what is used in the AVS check, as I understand.

I believe my only bulletproof option is to open a new debit card account in real name and real address and then a few months later do a change of address on the debit card from the real address to my stealth address. The AVS check should then work OK, I believe.

If its just a buyers account it shouldnt be an issue and I do not see causing a problem RE linking. They really are very lenient with buyers account

Trying to change your address on your real cards to a stealth address will end up effecting your credit rating so that is a bad idea

Many thanks James that is an important point and one that I don’t wish to fall foul of – thanks.

Could I simply approach this from the other end:

1. Change IP address
2. Make a change of address in my ebay account from my ‘stealth address’ to my ‘real address’
3. Make the same change of address in my paypal account from my ‘stealth address’ to my ‘real address’
4. Keep my ‘stealth name’ unchanged in my ebay and paypal accounts
5. Link new debit card to paypal – this would be in my ‘real name’ and ‘real address’

Will there be a problem if I keep the ‘delivery address’ the same – it is currently the same as my stealth address?

Will ebay or paypal require any documented proof for a change of address?


Or


Is it easier to just start all over again with brand new ebay and paypal accounts?

Just start again with a new eBay and PayPal that is just for buying and nothing else.

In the long term you’re right, it will be better to build a good long lasting ‘Buyer Only’ ebay/paypal account, using real CC and Debit Card addresses. It will be better than fiddling around with the current ebay/paypal accounts – changing the address, which would most likely trigger some type of verification checks.

In hindsight I probably went a bit too stealthy for just a 'Buyer' ebay/paypal account.

Back to re-reading the Stealth Guide in preparation.
